Shaun & Adeline Pre Wedding Destination Bridal Photography Tasmania Australia

While we were driving up the mountain prior to sunrise, we certainly didn’t expect fog to envelope the surroundings! Interestingly, the fog brought about a certain mystical feel to the set of photos. It’s always a good thing to have variations for destination wedding photography. The strangers we bumped into were all so friendly congratulating the couple along the way and a group of bikers gladly posed for us upon request too!

Tasmania is a beautiful but vast island and we wanted to travel to as many places as possible. While most photographers would avoid photographing outdoors during mid day, we were very fortunate the sun hid in the clouds from time to time for us to avoid harsh light at the vineyard and bridge. Our schedule didn’t allow us to make use of only sunrise and sunset and we needed to move from place to place relatively quickly. I was glad I got the opportunity to photograph this couple with years of experience to help me out as a lot of quick thinking was required to make things work most of the times.

Looking at the photos, I think the couple is really blessed. They had beautiful sunrise, sunset, fog, rainbow, waves, strong winds and interesting architectures for their photos. Over the few days, though dead tired, we got to enjoy some beautiful parts of Australia which I believe will be sorely missed whenever we reminisce our time there. All the planning, hard work, enduring of myriad weather conditions and resources spent were all so worthwhile. To top it off, I got to know two lovely people better and I believe the bond will last a long time! 😀

Shaun & Adeline Pre Wedding Destination Bridal Photography Sydney Australia

Believe it or not, this set of photos nearly didn’t happen.

When Adeline wanted to engage my services, I suggested photographing them on Mt Bromo knowing her love for hiking and nature in general! Fortunately and unfortunately, the couple didn’t settle for Mt Bromo due to safety concerns but went for breathtaking Tasmania instead.

Initially, the plan was to just tour Sydney like any tourists would do but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to photograph an iconic city like Sydney! So on the same day we landed, I went scouting for locations I shortlisted while in Singapore. Due to the lack of sleep and pushing myself a little more even though I was feeling unwell, I could hardly move after the session ended. As I look through the photos again and again and the review written by Shaun for me, I felt everything I did was worthwhile.

Caution! DO NOT open your mouths too widely for whatever reason in Sydney as a fly might just zoom into it. If you must know, yes one did fly into mine!
